When I first took on this project back in 2012 - which was already the 17th edition - I knew I had to strike the right balance between honoring its rich history while bringing something fresh to the table. I decided to shake things up by introducing bold, contemporary colors and custom typography that would give the event a modern edge while still feeling familiar to long-time attendees.

Over the years, I've evolved the design approach to incorporate urban photography of Antwerp, often with an intentionally surreal twist that makes people do a double-take. I love hunting for those unexpected angles and moments that capture the city's character in surprising ways. Paired with our signature color palette, these visuals have become a hallmark of the event's identity, helping it stand out in Antwerp's busy events calendar while maintaining that authentic local feel that people have come to love.
