I was first asked to do a poster for this event in 2012 — by then it’s 17th edition. What to do when faced with an event with so much history?

I decided to marry old and new, going for fresh colors and new typography where possible — either through deliberate “out of the box” choices or custom work.

In recent years, the focus has shifted to using photography from the city — often with a surrealist slant — and consistent use of a specific set of colors.
